Hilltop Junior School Association

Hilltop Junior School Association (HJSA) is the fundraising group for Hilltop Junior School and we are a registered charity (Reg. No. 1044170). You may not know it, but everyone who has a child at the school automatically becomes a member of the HJSA. All the money raised from our events is spent on the children and the school.

Some of the items we have purchased in the past include IPads, hanging baskets, plants and equipment for the new school garden, commemorative coins, and every year we buy every child a Christmas gift, crackers for the children's Christmas dinner and Christmas trees for the school. We also pay for the Year 6 leavers disco and purchase achievement award vouchers, which are presented at the end of the year.

Every year we run Christmas, Valentines’ and Summer Discos, help decorate tables and serve the Christmas dinner and organise special school shop events for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Christmas. Our biggest event of the year is the Summer Fair & Grand Prize Draw, which this year is taking place on Friday 16th June.

New for 2017 – we have joined forces with Adventure Island to sell discounted wristbands.  We are currently selling blue wristbands for £15.50 each (gate price £29).  They are valid until 31 December 2017. Please contact us if you would like to purchase any of these.

In addition to the above, we are currently collecting donations of children’s novels to add to the class reading corners and requesting unwanted fancy dress outfits used at previous school events (Roman, Victorian, Evacuee, Egyptian) so that these can be hired out for a small fee to younger pupils.

The current committee consists of:-

Chairperson - Sam Read                           Treasurer – Jan Davis

Secretary – Jane Relf                                 Committee Member – Claire Bremerman

If anyone would like to know more about HJSA, would like to volunteer some of their time, donate items, or talk to us about your fundraising ideas, please come and find us at the school gates, email, leave a message with the school office, or call our Chairperson Samantha Read on 07972184170.

Thank you for helping us to support your child's school.
